Romie Mae Fisher, 98, of New Boston, Texas, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, in Texarkana, Texas.
Ms. Fisher was born Sept. 10, 1915, in Clarksville, Texas. She was a cook with Red River Army Depot.
Survivors include one son, George Fisher of New Boston; two daughters, Martha Carcamo of Nashville, Ark., and Gay Nell Anderson of New Boston; four grandsons, Tyron Wade and Carlos Wade of Irving, Texas, Brad Wade of Olympia, Wash., and Alvin Anderson Jr. of Houston; three granddaughters, LaQuita Matthews of Mineral Springs, Ark., Mitzi Radford of Ashdown, Ark., and Maleisha Goshea of Vilseck, Germany; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Arkadelphia Baptist Church, New Boston, with the Rev. Michael Henry officiating. Burial will be in Arkadelphia Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary.
The body may be viewed noon to 6 p.m. with visitation from 5 p.m.
