Funeral for Creed I. Roberts, 69, of 1409 Victoria, who died Monday in the Veterans Hospital in Big Spring where he had been hospitalized since Wednesday, will be held in Kiker-Warren Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the masonic Cemetery.

Born in Nugent Aug. 23, 1891, Mr. Roberts had spent most of his life in the Abilene area. A veteran of World War I, he served in the Hawaiian Islands in the artillery, being discharged in 1919.

He married in March, 1929. A member of the Fairmont Methodist Church, he belonged to the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy; one brother, Otto of Fayetteville, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
