BURNEYVILLE, Okla. — Funeral services for Ron "Ace" Alexander, 62, of Burneyville, Okla. are set for 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mr. Alexander died Feb. 5, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Dallas.

He was born May 12, 1948 in Pilot Point.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Marilyn Alexander of Burneyville, Okla.; daughters, Courtney Meijer of Austin and Channing Alexander of Burneyville, Okla.; brother, Buster Alexander of Burneyville, Okla. and one grandchild.

Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, Feb. 10, at the funeral home.

Ronald listed in the Navy in June 1966 and went to boot camp at San Diego, California. He attended Gunners Mate School in Great Lakes, Illinois and River Patrol Boat Training in Coronado, California. In July 1967 he was sent to Vietman where he was stationed within five miles of his brother, Buster, but they only saw each other one time in the year they were there. In July 1968 Ronald Larry returned home. He was on the USS Alamogrado in Charleston, South Carolina from July 1968 to 1970 when he was Honorably Discharged.
