CAMERON — Charlie Richardson, 82, of Rockdale and formerly of Gainesville, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 in a Cameron nursing center. Graveside funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville with Rev. Jim Bowden officiating.
Mr. Richardson, a retired Independent Insurance Agent for Southland Life Insurance Company, was born April 7, 1925 in Gainesville to Edward Lee and Nola Beatrice (Mann) Richardson.
He married Erma Jean Fellers on April 11, 1946.
He was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church and a member and past master of the Gainesville Masonic Lodge.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Two brothers, Eugene and A.L. (Buddy) Richardson and sister, Loveta Reger preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Richardson of Rockdale; two sons, Jim Richardson of Rockdale and Tim Richardson of Kingwood; daughter, Linda Shelton of Denison; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
