Charles was born in Myra to Johnie W. and Dorothy Dae Wilson. He attended Arlington State college and Graduated
from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in 1955. After
graduation he served for two years as First Lieutenant in the US Army. In 1957 he joined his Father in the farm, implement, and machinery business which evoled into Wil-O-Mac, Inc.
He married Rebekah A. Talbot in 1959
