Funeral services for Jeffery Joe Leftwich, 55, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Leftwich passed away March 25, 2016 in Dallas.

Jeff was born December 27, 1960 in Gainesville. He was graduated from Gainesville High School where he was involved in athletics. Jeff enjoyed his time in Raceland, LA, where he lived and worked for seven years. He then returned to Gainesville to continue his career in the office machine business. Jeff worked at Dustin’s Office Machines, was an entrepreneur, and worked for Gainesville ISD. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was often involved in various activities. Jeff was the life of the party and never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and had a joke for any situation. Jeff loved his family deeply and will be missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include: father Johnny Leftwich and wife Mary Lou of Gainesville; mother Milly Jackson and husband Jon of Dallas; sister Celia Goree of Dallas; brother Spencer Leftwich and wife LaTonne of El Paso; nephews: Jake, Jordan, and Josh Goree, and Mack Hays, Cutter, and Gage Leftwich; aunt Mary Meadows of Dallas; uncle Spencer Hays and wife Marlene of New York, NY; aunt Billie Joe Whitley and husband Ted of Burleson; and numerous cousins and friends.
