When THEODORE JOHN BESSELMAN was born on June 2, 1875, in St Louis, Missouri, his father, Wilhelm, was 24 and his mother, Mary, was 22. He married LOTTIE CECILE BORN (BARNES) and they had 13 children together. He then married Josephine Matilda Short and they had three children together. He died on June 22, 1931, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 56, and was buried in Fargo, Texas.
