Mr. R. H. Alfred, age 74 of Elkhart, passed away Feb. 23 at his residence. Mr. Alfred was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Houston County and resided in Elkhart for the past 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army.
Mr. Alfred was a retired mechanic and a farmer. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon.
