When Ruben Arthur Graf was born on December 12, 1929, in Vernon, Texas, his father, Paul, was 30 and his mother, Mary, was 23. He had two children with Nadine Alma Sanders Graf Bradshaw. He died on May 23, 1975, in Tokyo, Japan, at the age of 45, and was buried in his hometown.
