When Leon Duncan was born on October 21, 1926, in Lubbock, Texas, his father, Audy, was 32 and his mother, Mattie, was 25. He married Nancy Joe (Nannie) Cox in March 1975. He died on March 25, 1986, in Tarrant, Texas, at the age of 59, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
