Funeral services for Billy L. Qualls, age 78, of Denver City will be held Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Denver City with Philip Golden officiating and Randy Butler assisting. Burial will follow in Denver City Memorial Cemetery in Denver City. Services will be under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

Bill passed away on May 8, 2009. He was born December 26, 1930 in Forsan. Bill graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1947. After serving in the United States Marines Corps from 1947 to 1952, Bill married Barbara Hocker in Welch on February 14, 1954. Bill worked Arco in Crane and transferred to Denver City in 1965, he retired in 1988. He was the commander of the American Legion Post in Denver City and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son. Robert Qualls of Whitehouse; a daughter, Jaymie Brown of Denver City; four grandchildren, James Qualls of Lake Worth, Emily Qualls of Richardson, Jessica Brown of Lubbock, and Justin Brown of Denver City.
