Services for John Nicolas "Nico" Olivas 13 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Nico passed away in Ector County on Saturday May 17, 2008 after an auto accident.
He was born on October 10, 1994 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Nico was a student in the 7th grade at Andrews Middle School, he was active with the school choir and an honor student.
Survivors include, father and step-mother, Jose Olivas and Shayna McCormick, Andrews, mother; Gina Rivera, Ft. Worth, Texas, grandparents; Jose and Blanca Olivas, Del Rio, Texas, Donna Rivera, Ft Worth, Texas, Johnny Rivera, Ft Worth, Texas, Irma Grandarilla, Ft Worth, Texas, step-grandparents; Shane and Debbie McCormick, Andrews, great-grandparents; Georgia Rivera, Ft Worth, Texas, brothers; Jose Olivas, Jr, Richard Edward Olivas both of Andrews, Steve Ray Robledo, Jr., Ft Worth, step-brothers; Jordan Higdon and Justin Higdon both of Andrews. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
