Memorial services for Gary Jo Fugate, 53, of Watauga, Texas were held Friday, July 24, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Denver City, Texas with Rev. Ronnie Lunsford officiating.

Services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Borne of Seminole. Mr. Fugate passed away on March 14, 2009 at his home in Watauga, Texas.

He was born on April 27, 1955 to Billy Jo and Leona Fugate. Gary graduated from Kermit High School and attended Austin Community College and the University of Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a lifetime endowed member of Masonic Grand Lodge of Austin, Texas.

He worked for Metron Technology and PST/Asyst Technologies of Austin until 2004. The past five years he was vice¬president of a family business with his cousins in the Ft. Worth area, manufacturing custom made children's play equipment.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy J. Fugate; grand¬parents Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jeffcoat and Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Shaw; and two uncles, Lloyd Fugate and Marshall "Cowboy" Jeffcoat.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Jo Fugate, Jr. of Round Rock, Texas and Jeremy Chad Fugate of Arlington, Texas; his mother, Leona Fugate of Denver City, Texas; one brother, Dale Fugate and wife, Susan, of Roswell, New Mexico; one sis¬ter, Deborah Owen and husband, Robert, of Port Orange, Florida; one grandson, Konnar Fugate of Round Rock, Texas; two nephews and other relatives and friends.
