Born in Red River County, Texas Willie 'Bill' married Vida Mae Simpson 8 October 1918. They moved their family from Parker County to Jacksboro 10 June 1929 where Bill became the first manager of the Brazos River Gas Co. office in Jacksboro.
Resigning this post after twenty two years, he started the Geer Plumbing Co. in Jacksboro. After twenty seven years in this trade he retired.
