R. E. DESPAIN DIES; RITES HELD WEDNESDAY
R. E. DeSpain of 501 North Milam Street, Died at 10 p. m. Monday night at Newton Hospital after an illness of seven weeks.
Mr. DeSpain, who was a resident of Cameron for approximately 4 years, was born July 17, 1897. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and First Christian Church.
Funeral services were scheduled at 4 p. m. Wednesday, June 1 at the Chapel of Greens Funeral Home with Interment in Oak Hill cemetery. Graveside services under direction of Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his widow, one sister, Mrs. George Sublett of Huntsville, Alabama; two stepsons, R. C. Nicholson and B. M. Nicholson both of Houston and a number of nieces and nephews.
