J. P. HEFTI DIES AT HOME NEAR MAYSFIELD
J. P. Hefti, 83, pioneer and for many years a resident of the Maysfield community, died early Thursday, September 9, 1943, at his farm in that community.
Mr. Hefti had been in critical health for several years and for many months had been in bed and unable to walk.
Funeral services were held at 5 p. m. Thursday, September 9, 1943, at the Presbyterian Church at Maysfield with the pastor, Rev. Henry Bailey, conducting the services. Interment was made in the Little River Cemetery with the Green Funeral Home in Cameron directing arrangements.
Mr. Hefti was a native of Switzerland. He came to America at the age of 11 years with his parents. He was born in 1851. He had been a resident of the Maysfield community for 49 years, was a successful farmer.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Henry Hefti and Fred Hefti; one daughter, Mrs. Ed Lucksinger oa Austin.
