Dan saw service in the United States Marine Corp, United States Army Air Force, and Strategic Air Command.
He was a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, with nine years of foreign service, eight years of which were hazardous duty. During this time, he participated in the Berlin Airlift. He flew as a Flight Engineer with the famous 307th Bomb Wing, 370 Bomb Squadron out of Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa during the Korean conflict. Dan was also extremely proud of having been a combat crew member of the First Strategic Support Squadron, General Le Mays private Air Force.
Honorably retired after 21 years of service
