FRITCH - Virgie Mae Brooks, 71, Athens, died Sunday, March 24, 1991 in East Texas Medical Center in Athens.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Lee Fuller, pastor, First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
A native of Fordyce, Ark., she had lived in Borger from 1936-1950, and had been an Athens resident for nine years. She was a retired waitress and a Baptist.
Survivors include a brother, Thomas Brooks of Fritch; six sisters, Ophelia Darden of Athens; Vera Cunya of Yuba City, Calif.; Hattie Reavis of Porterville, Calif.; Louise Standridge of Oklahoma City; Dorothy Lee of Harlingen; and Kathleen York of Oxnard, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.
The family will be staying at the Thomas Brooks' home, Palamino Street, in Fritch.
