REBURIAL PLANNED FOR PRIVATE AXE
Reburial services for Pvt. Charles W. Axe will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Rowlett Christian Church. The Rev. W. M. Mix, pastor of the First Christian Church in Garland, will officiate. Burial will be in Mills Cemetery.
Axe was born March 12, 1920. His parents are Mrs. Dovie Axe and the late Carl Axe. He attended school in Rowlett and Garland and was inducted into the army Nov. 14, 1941. He was killed Nov. 20, 1943, while serving in the coast artillery in Algeria.
He is survived by his mother; a sister, Mrs. Henry Schrade of Garland; three brothers Maurice of Garland, James Axe and Carl Axe of Rowlett.
