Reggie Palmer Pillans, age 67, of Cross Plains, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 in an Arlington hospital. Funeral services will be on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cross Plains with Ronnie White officiating assisted by Mike Rogers; burial will follow in the Atwell Cemetery.

He was born on December 12, 1947 in San Antonio to Benjamin and Mildred Pillans. Reggie grew up in Abilene and graduated from Cooper High School, he then attended college at Texas Tech and Mc Murray. He settled in Hurst, TX with his family. He had always given of his time for the following affiliations: Volunteer fireman, EMT, and Parks and Recreation board member while living in Hurst. Big Country Emmaus, Epiphany, Turkey Creek Rodeo Club, American Boer Goat Association - Superintendant of National Show for the past 9 years, Friends of the NRA, Callahan County Republican Chairman, NCHA and CPISD School Board. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church and Sunday School.

Survivors include his present wife, Suzi Pillans of Cross Plains; Doylene Pillans his first wife; mother, Mildred Pillans; daughter, Donya Mason and husband, Ian Mason, sister in law; daughter Denesha Rogers and husband, Wayne Rogers; son, Joby Pillans and wife Kyle Pillans; grandchildren: Julian Pillans, Lexi Mason, Tanner Rogers, Peyton Rogers, Kyah Pillans, Kolby Pillans; sister Denese Thetford and husband Eddie Thetford, niece, Sara Thetford; nephew, Skyler Thetford.

Pallbearers will be Joby Pillans, Julian Pilllans, Wayne Rogers Ian Mason, Tanner Rogers, Peyton Rogers, Skyler Thetfort, and Rodney Reynolds.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church /Missions, www.cookchildrens.org/giving In memory of Reggie Pillans.
