Obituary
Joe Dean Little, 71, of Amarillo died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Kwahadi Heritage Indian Center. Burial will be at noon in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mr. Little was born May 16, 1936, in Pampa to Horace and Alice Little. He attended school in Borger and Pampa, graduating from Borger High School in 1954. He married Eileen on Sept. 14, 1978, in Amarillo.
He worked for Santa Fe Railway for 32 years. He worked at the Amarillo Country Club in the maintenance department for 10 years after retirement. He loved woodworking and stained glass. He was very interested in the Native American culture. He loves gaming on the computer in the evening.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Little; his father, Horace Little; and a granddaughter, Cassandra Serrioz.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen A. Little; his mother, Alice Little of Borger; a sister, Phyllis Jackson and husband Ron of Amarillo; five daughters, Felicia Serrioz and husband Tek and five children of Wichita, Kan., Pattie Callen and two children of Talkeetna, Alaska, Vicki Stewart and husband Jerry and four children of Modesto, Calif., Shannon Whipple and husband Paul and four children of Beliot, Kan., and Sheree Van Pelt and husband Jeremy of Wellington, Kan.; five sons, William "Jody" Little and two children of Anderson, S.C., Mitchell "Scott" Little of Atlanta, Travis Fraser and son Jonathon of Wellington, Kan., Eric Little and wife Mindi and two children of Amarillo and Curtis Little of San Diego; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the Golden Spread Woodcarvers Association, 4206 S. Ong St., Amarillo, TX 79110.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
