Farris E. "Slick" Long, 64, Borger, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 1991 in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
Services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
A native of Pearson, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 45 years. He was an employee of Phillips Petroleum Plains Plant, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Fritch.
Survivors include two step-sons, Richard Gunkel of Shallowater, and Donald Gunkel of Stillwater, Okla.; three brothers, Glen Long of Borger; S.W. Long of Sulphur, Okla. and Jim Long of Kennewick, Wash.; one sister, Katherine Lovell of Fritch; his mother, Mabel Long of Borger; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
