BORGER - Thurmond "Sandy" Sanders, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Minton Memorial Chapel with Laurencio Garduno of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Sanders was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Delhi, Okla. He was a letter carrier for 21 years at the U.S. Post Office in Borger.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, Tommy Joe Sanders of Conroe and Mickey Sanders of Borger; a brother, James Sanders of Midland; two sisters, Lucille Tennery of Elk City, Okla., and Pauline Breitwiser of Madera, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
