*Obituary

GALVESTON - Louis Baigen, 70, of Galveston, Texas went to be with his Lord on April 16, 2013. Funeral Mass is 10:00 am Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Father E.J. Stein, OFM officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm at the Funeral Home by Deacon Robert Standridge.

Louis was born on December 2, 1942. Educated in Galveston, he later worked as a longshoreman for Maritime Association until his retirement. He enjoyed old westerns, listening to music and The Dallas Cowboys. He resided briefly in Dallas prior to his passing. He was known as "Uncle Louie" to all his nieces and nephews and he graciously supported them in all their endeavors.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents Juan Sr. and Guadalupe Baigen and his brother Miguel Baigen. He is survived by siblings Juan Baigen Jr. (Clotilde), Julia Krupinski (John), Guadalupe Ortiz, Lula Corona, and Virginia Marquez, numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank all of his family and caregivers who cared for him during his illness.
