DICKINSON — Charles E. Bridges, 67, passed away July 18, 2005, in Texas City, Texas. He was born May 15, 1938, in Collinsville, Texas to Vincent and Thelma Bridges. Charles served his country in the U. S. Navy for six years. He retired as a truck driver with Roadway Express and was a member of the AFL-CIO and a Deacon at Northside Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2005, with the Rev. Rick Perkins officiating. There will be a Celebration of Life at Northside Baptist Church, 2801 N. Logan St., Texas City, Texas on Friday, July 22, 2005 at 7 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Kay Bridges; mother, Thelma Bridges; two sons, Robert E. Bridges and wife, Denise and Richard L. Bridges; brother, Thomas P. Bridges and by his three grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica and Ryan and one great grandchild, Kurt. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Jean Harvey; brother-in-law, Ed Bowan and wife, Joann; nephew, Michael Brunelli ; uncle W.R. Bowan and numerous aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers memorials will be accepted for the Building Fund at Northside Baptist Church.
