Services for Jack Thompson, 43, Hutchinson County Corrections Officer who was killed in the line of duty during a jail break in Stinnett Monday, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fellowship Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Vernon Lindbloom, pastor.

Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Thompson, a lifetime resident of Borger, lived at 314 First St. in Phillips. He was born June 10, 1936, in Borger.

He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was a former member of Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse and Borger Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife Pat; three sons, Jerry of Wichita Falls, Jack and Jeff of the home; one sister, Mrs. Betty Riley of Amarillo; one brother, Wallace Thompson of Borger; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack L. Thompson Sr., also of Borger.

The family will be at home at 600 E. Third St. in Borger.

Pallbearers will be Gary Blodgett, Bobby Chaffin, Bob Smith, George Cannon, Lee Berry, Leo Cutler, Leon Swopes and Guy Rowh.

Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining members of the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Department and the reserve deputies.
