GALVESTON — Mr. Milton L. Shupe died on Saturday, August 17, 1991, at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. Memorial services for family and friends will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, at the chapel of J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Bauman officiating. The family will receive guests beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

"Mose," as Mr. Shupe was known to his family and friends, was born in Lost Springs, Kansas,on March 20,1904. He was a retired railroad agent for the Rock Island and the Fort Worth and Denver railway lines, who retired after 46 years in Kansas and Texas. Organizations to which Mr. Shupe belonged and served as president and in other capacities were the Herington, Kan., Lions Club, the Galveston-Texas City Traffic Club and the Railway Freight Agents of Galveston. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mary Frances and daughter Leslie of Galveston; and his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Cindie of Escondido, California.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Central United Methodist Church at 33rd and OVz, Galveston, 77550, or to the American Heart Association at 1814 45th Street, Galveston, 77550.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Gavronovic, Delmar Haskin, Phil Jacobs, Grif Lambdin, Frank Williamson, Dr. Byron Bailey, Dr. E.P. Vogelpohl, Dr. Thomas Schwartz, Dr. Edgar Smith, Dr. Allan Fradkin and W.E. Greer.
