Howard Culp, 59, of Spring Creek, died yesterday morning at 11 o'clock in an Amarillo hospital from a heart ailment.

A pioneer resident of this area, Culp came to Borger in 1926, but has lived in Spring Creek for the last 14 years. At the time of his death he was employed by the Spring Creek school. He was a member of the Haile Baptist church and active with the boy scouts of the area.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Creager of Bunavista and Mrs. Lucy Lee Lancaster of Borger; a son, Howard Gene of Kimball, Nebr.; five grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Emma Culp of Tulsa; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Billing and Mrs. Marie Girdler, both of Tulsa, and a brother Albert, also of Tulsa.

Services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Borger First Baptist church with the Rev. J.D. Hill of the Haile Baptist church officiating. The Rev. A.C. Lyons of the East Side Baptist church will assist.

Active pallbearers are Merkell Phillips, Wayne Wheeler, Paul Kemp, Walt Shair, Leo Maloney and E.L. Byars.
