*Obituary
S.L. "Blackie" Garrison, 55, of 1022 Coble, died at 2 a.m. August 30, in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

A retired operator for Phillips Petroleum Company, he was a native of Wapanucka, Oklahoma, and a Borger resident for 31 years.

He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Gateway Baptist Church, Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355.

He married Joy Bradstreet on August 12, 1951, at Wapanucka, Okla.

Survivors include his wife, Joy of the home; two daughters, Sharon Kennedy of Fritch and Angela Ronayne of Sweeny; one son, Mark Garrison of Fritch; three brothers, Charlie Garrison of Lubbock, W.L. Garrison of Borger and Frank Garrison of Canadian; two sisters, Alice Freed of Altus, Okla., and Virgie Garrison of Oklahoma City, Okla., and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Gateway Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Henderson, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Alexander-Morton Funeral Directors.
