Larry Joseph Heinrich entered this life April 18, 1952 in Slaton. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 6:54 p.m. He peacefully departed this world into God's eternal love surrounded by his family.

Larry was the oldest child born to Oscar and Estelle (Simek) Heinrich. He has two brothers, Glenn and Mark, and a sister, Joyce. He was raised in Slaton, attended Slaton schools, and graduated in 1970. He then went to Texas Tech University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 1975. Throughout college, Larry worked at McCoy's Lumber Company. He met Lynda Hall during his student teaching at Roosevelt High School. They later married September 25, 1976. Together they had two daughters, Kara and Kaci, who were the pride and joy of Larry's life.

Larry spent many years in the feed and seed business working for Ralston Purina, Funk Seed, Delta & Pine Land, RC Young Seed and Mycogen Seed Companies. He had a passion for agriculture, excelled in his work and was awarded many accomplishments. He was an avid gardener, hunter, fisherman and baseball fan. He loved the outdoors, spending time at the lake, and perfecting his lawn. Larry loved cooking for his daughters and making homemade hot sauce.

Larry was a son, brother, daddy, uncle, and pappy who lived by the fruits of the Spirit. He had such a joy for life, was humorous, loved his family, cherished his time with friends and served his God. He will be deeply missed by all, but is now without struggle in God's arms.

Larry was preceded in death by his daddy, Oscar Joseph Heinrich in August 1991.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Estelle Heinrich; brothers, Glenn Heinrich and wife Pat, Mark Heinrich and wife Davia, all of Slaton; sister, Joyce Keller and husband George of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughters, Kara Heinrich-Jones and husband Daryl, Kaci Heinrich-Greer and husband Royce, all of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Kyler and Kynli Greer; five nieces and three nephews.
