Name: Elvin L Littrell
Birth Date: 29 Feb 1924
Death Date: 28 Jan 1954
Cemetery: Highland Park Cemetery
Cemetery Location: Borger, Texas

Elvin Leon Littrell, Borger resident until recently, was killed in a traffic accident near Hobbs, N.M., last night.

Reports of the accident were first received here last night by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Littrell, of 1113 Sterling street, Borger.

Littrell, who had lived in Borger for about 11 years, recently moved to Midland, where he was employed by the Industrial Insulation company of Midland. Although the facts of the accident are not known locally, it is assumed that Littrell was in Hobbs on a job when he was killed.

The Littrells moved to Borger from Marlow, Okla., about 11 years ago. Besides his parents, survivors include five brothers, Jessie W. of Lawton, Okla., and Luther, C.R. Jr., Melvin and don, all of Borger; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Reeves, Mrs. Wilbur Cross and Miss Jackie Littrell, all of Borger, and a grandmother, Mrs. W.C. Lewis of Marlow.

Littrell was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The body will be returned to Borger for final rites.
