H.C. Lopez, 91, of Amarillo died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002.
A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mass will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel with the Rev. Dariusz Pawlowski and the Rev. Brent Ashby, pastor of Pastoral Care at Paramount Terrace Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger with the Rev. Norbert Kuehler, pastor of St. John's Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mr. Lopez was born in Cebolla, N.M., and had lived in Amarillo for more than 13 years. He was an insulator for Phillips 66 for more than 25 years before retirement.
His wife, Lea Lopez, preceded him in death in 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Scott of Amarillo; a step-daughter, Josefa Gomez of Amarillo; a step-son, Johnny Martinez of Utah; a brother, Robert Lopez of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Rebecca Valdez of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
