William R. "Bill" Lowrance, 70, 907 Illinois, died Wednesday, April 29 at 2:15 a.m. in his home in Borger.
A retired "A" mechanic for Phillips Petroleum Company, he was a native of Munday, Texas and a Borger resident for 35 years.
He was a member of the Baptist Church, V.F.W., Moose Lodge and American Legion.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and served in the Pacific for four years.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Lowrance of the home; one son, Curtis, of Borger; four daughters, Helen Amyx of Harrison, Ark., Cathy Lowrance, Leona Newvine and Sara Ann Johnson, all of Des Moines, Iowa; four brothers, Truman Lowrance of Pampa, Troy Lowrance of Dallas, Homer Lowrance of Littlefield, Ed Lowrance of White Deer; two sisters, Frances Rogers of Fritch, Naomi Malone of Bonham; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
