Gay Lynn Mos, 17-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mos, of 1331 Potter, died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in the High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo after a lengthy illness.

Miss Mos, who was a senior at Borger High School, was born July 13, 1954, in Borger.

While in high school, she had been an office aide and a counselor's assistant for four years.

Mrs. Rosa Spann, high school counselor, recalls Miss Mos as a "most dependable and cheerful person."

Before attending high school, she went to San Houston Junior High where she was a member of the school's choir.

Miss Mos was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Other survivors beside the parents include her brother, Freddie of Houston; her grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Archer of McAlester, Okla.; great-grandmother, Mrs. Nancy Hensley, also of McAlester; one niece and 12 aunts and uncles.

Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Orel Speed, pastor, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under direction of Minton Mortuary.

Casket bearers will be Thomas Ayers, James Webb, C.W. Parker, Todd Parker, Jeff Pace and Tracy Speed.
