*Obituary
George E. Nix, 55, of 613 North Coble, died in the North Plains hospital at 12:30 a.m. this morning after a sudden illness.
Nix, a resident of the Borger area for the past 25 years, was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose and Club Fifty. He was employed by Huber corporation.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Clara Nix, one son, George Nix Jr. of New Orleans, and two daughters, Miss Joanna Nix of California and Mrs. T.P. Cook of Phillips.
Also surviving are three brothers, John and M.E. Nix, both of Dallas, and J.H. Nix of Mesquite; and three sisters: Mrs. Mary Russell, and Misses Ruth and Leona Nix, both of Dallas.
The body will rest at Blackburn-Shaw-Brown funeral home until 2 p.m. Sunday when services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Borger with the Rev. Paul Cullen officiating.
Honorary bearers will be members of Club Fifty. The body will be interred in Highland Park cemetery.
