Johan (John) Christoph Busse Jr. was born on June 18, 1853 in Houston, Harris County, Texas to Christoph and Sophie Busse. He lived most of his younger life in Brenham, Washington County, Texas.
He had 3 siblings; August, Henry and Amelia Busse. The family was all members of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham, Texas.
In 1877 in Washington County, Texas he married Theresa "Lena" Englehardt. From this union they had two daughters; Annie Busse Windhausen and Emma Louise Noack.
Mr. Busse died on April 25, 1892 at the age of 38. He was buried on April 26, 1892. His Father, Mother, both of his brothers, daughter Annie and her husband Frank Windhausen are all buried nearby. His wife is buried in Houston, Harris County, Texas, at Brookside Memorial Park.
