John Daniel Brown was born in Joplin, Jasper County Missouri to Hannah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hilpirt and William Henry Brown on September 9, 1904.
He is the brother of 2nd Lieutenant Richard Henry Brown and Colonel Paul Hilpirt Brown.
John married Miss Alice Gertrude Brantley.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served ranked as a Private. He served from 1932-1934.
Mr. Brown died on December 28, 1969 in Houston, Harris County, Texas at the age of 65.
