BORGER (Staff) - Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Gateway Baptist Church here for Robert Shields, a 55-year-old Midland barber who died of a gunshot wound in Midland Saturday.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, directed by Simpson Funeral Home.

Shields was shot while working at his Midland barber shop Saturday.

Charged with murder in connection with the shooting was William Frederick Talafuse, 37, Midland.

Shields' survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lon Shields, Midland; a daughter, Georgia Ann Shields, Midland; a brother, Buster Shields, Borger; and four sisters, Mrs. James Teems, Midland; Mrs. Jim Wedener [sic] and Mrs. J.D. Carter, both of Dumas; and Mrs. Dwight Dyer, Salina, Kan.
