Borger News Herald - July 30, 1959
Funeral services for H.C. Spurrier, 55, of 1202 Jackson Street, Borger, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Bible Baptist Church. Pastor, Charles E. McDowell, will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown Funeral Home.
Spurrier, a resident of Borger for 32 years, died at noon yesterday in North Plain Hospital. He was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation for 32 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Faye Spurrier, Borger; two daughters, Mrs. Jodie Brock, Borger, and Mrs. Bobby Heye, Port Lavaca; one brother, Buck Spurrier, Roswell, N.M.; five sisters, Mrs. Pete Wilson, Breckenridge; Mrs. Lemay Pruitt, Vernon; Mrs. L.C. Brenneman, and Mrs. Wayne Chapman of Roswell, N.M.; Mrs. Edith Weems, Socorro, N.M.; his mother, Mrs. Lulu Spurrier, Roswell, N.M.
Casket bearers will be B.K. Shirley, A.G. Stout, Roy Kimbrell, D.A. Rife, Glen Whitlow and Willis Corley.
