Funeral services for J.M. Taylor, 63, who died Sunday morning at North Plains hospital, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist church with the Rev. Jeff Moore, pastor, and the Rev. Weldon Lewis, officiating.

A resident of Phillips for the past 17 years, Taylor was active in the Calvary Baptist church, the Isom Masonic Lodge 1242 A.F. & A.M. and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtis Taylor; one son, Lloyd of Caney, Kan.; two brothers, Phillip of Daingerfield, Tex.; and Rufus, Hope, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Truett, Naples, Tex.; Miss Etta Taylor, Rock Branch, Tex.; Mrs. Lou Horton, Galveston; and Mrs. Bertha Silvers, Texarkana; and three grandchildren.

Interment rites in Highland Park cemetery will be under the auspices of Isom Masonic Lodge. All members are requested to report to the Masonic Temple at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Ed Brown, Funeral Director, is in charge of the burial service.

Active pallbearers will be Don Pumphrey, John Rutledge, L.M. Roney, Jim Shaw, Tom Robinson and Claude Musgrave. Honorary bearers are Jim Cope, Coy Burke, Loye Williams, Milo Stamps and Russell Cantrell.
