Elmer Allen Hickman was born May 5, 1924 in Cleveland, Liberty County, Texas to Icy Bradley and James Allen Hickman.
He is the brother of Ernest Hickman (1915–1979), Clareed Hickman Taylor (1917–1966), Margaret Josephine Hickman Simmons (1923–1991) Hazel Lucinda Hickman Bartlett (1926–1989), Ruth Hickman Koehler
(1927–2001), and Jerry V Hickman (1930–1975).
Elmer married Bessie Marie Roller and they had 4 boys; James Allen, Roy Gail, Vernon and Clifford.
Mr. Hickman died on April 27, 1966 at the age of 41, in Alvin, Brazoria County, Texas.
