Funeral services for Dr. Wayne Edward Zello, 39, a resident of Galveston, will be at 2 p.m. Friday from the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Orel F. Speed, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Dr. Zello, a native of Borger, was found shot to death Tuesday night near Dallas.

He was a 1952 graduate of Borger High School where he was an outstanding football player. He taught in Dumas and worked in Amarillo after graduation from WTSU and before he entered the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

He graduated from the Galveston branch in 1965 and served two years as an Army flight surgeon before returning to Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home; three daughters, Kathy, Karen and Kim, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Zello of Borger; and one sister, Mrs. Ben Dumas of Borger.

Casketbearers will be Dr. George McCullough, Sid Davis, Harold Gouge, Charles McDaniel, Garvin Knox, Gale Murphey.
