James B. Calcote
Wheeler - Funeral services for James Barkstall Calcote, 72, of Kelton, will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church.
The Rev. A. G. Roberts of Lefors will officiate, to be assisted by the Rev. Dennis Herd, pastor of the Kelton First Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright-Denson Funeral Home.
Mr. Calcote, a native of Bowie, died Wednesday in the Parkview Hospital in Wheeler. He had lived in Wheeler County since 1927.
Survivors are his wife, four sons, J. V. of 410 N. Maryland in Amarillo, Otis of McLean and Bobby and Thurman of Kelton, four daughters, Mrs. Hutch Moore of Miami, Mrs. Hiram Whittener of Wheeler, Mrs. Artie Sailor of Pampa and Mrs. Lynn Levitt of Panhandle; his mother, Mrs. Ora Calcote of Erick, Oklahoma; four brothers, John of Wellington, Clifford of Dalhart, Feffie of Mulvane, Kansas and Robert of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. George Adkins of Wellington, Mrs. Ora Belle Cayton of Colorado and Mrs. Marie Cayton of Amarillo, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
