Father of Monte Gossett is Dead
Former Wheeler Resident Had Made Home Here Past Two Years

Many friends of this city attended the funeral Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, of F.E. Gossett, 57-year-old local resident. The funeral was held at the Methodist church in Wheeler, with the Wheeler Masonic Lodge in charge of the ceremonies.

Gossett died here at the home of his son Monte, Tuesday morning about 4:30 o'clock. He had made his home with his son for the past two years since the death of his wife at that time in Wheeler. Before that he had been engaged as a carpenter in Wheeler where the family had made their home for around ten years.

Gossett is survived by his son who has made his home here the past several years and is well known in this territory, and one sister of Waco who is ill and was not able to attend the funeral.

Burial was made in the Wheeler cemetery, with M.M. Nix and Co., local funeral directors, in charge.
