SHAMROCK - Jimmie C. Hensley, 59, a former Shamrock resident, died Monday, June 19, 1995, in Oklahoma City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Kinney, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery at Wheeler by Wright Funeral Directors.

Mr. Hensley was born in Cox City, Okla., and grew up in Chickasha, Okla. He attended Amarillo College and West Texas State University. He married Gwen Newkirk in 1958 at Tucumcari, N.M.

He was in business in Shamrock for 30 years before moving to Chickasha in 1985. He had lived in Yukon for the past five years. He served six years on the Shamrock school board, was past president of the Shamrock Jaycees, served as the St. Patrick's Day chairman in 1973 and was on the Shamrock Chamber of Commerce board of directors. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Chickasha.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Bradford Hensley of Yukon; two daughters, Mindy Cauthron of Fort Smith, Ark., and Sindy Chapman of Wheeler; his mother, Geneva Hensley of Wheeler; a brother, Orville Hensley of Edna; and five grandchildren.
