*Obituary
Jack Martin, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Martin, living five and one-half miles southeast of Briscoe, died Saturday night at the home of his parents, following a brief illness with sore throat.

Jack Walton Martin was born Feb. 12, 1923, near Coleman, Okla., and passed away Sept. 21, 1935, at the age of 12 years, seven months and nine days. He came with his parents to Wheeler county when only a few months old. He had attended school at Briscoe and was in the fourth grade.

Young Martin is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Martin; two brothers, E.T. Martin, Apache, Okla., and A.C. Martin, Allison, two sisters, Mrs. Hugh Worthington and Mrs. Earl Helton, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Martin, Mobeetie, and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Elmer Burcham of Mobeetie, at the Baptist church in Briscoe, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with interment in the Wheeler cemetery in charge of the Wheeler funeral home.
