*Obituary
Lewy A. McWhorter, 78, died Sunday December 14 in Rochelle, Ga.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday December 17 in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Hogan, postor [sic], officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. McWhorter was born in Rochelle and moved to Wheeler in 1940 from Borger. He was a farmer and a former employee of Phillips Petroleum Co. in Borger.
Survivors include four brothers, Lawson McWhorter of Pitts, Ga., Lewis McWhorter, George McWhorter and J.B. McWhorter, all of Rochelle; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Boyd Austin, Pete Baird, Bill Hampton, Lonnie Kenney, Otis Reid, Otis Ford.
