Everett J. Richardson, who was fatally wounded in an automobile-wagon crash 2 miles south of Wheeler Tuesday evening, November 30,, passed away here Saturday morning as a result of injuries received in the accident, it was reported.

Richardson received a fractured skull, three fractured ribs and other injuries in the accident and his condition was termed as critical from the time of the wreck until his death Saturday morning.

Funeral services for Mr. Richardson were conducted from the First Baptist Church here Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with Rev. H.C. Lonis, pastor of the Briscoe Assembly of God Church, in charge and assisted by Rev. Lester of Mobeetie. Special music was rendered by the Helton sisters of Briscoe.

Richardson had been a resident of Wheeler County for the past 38 years having lived in the Locust Grove community, near Briscoe and Wheeler.

Everett J. Richardson was born in Smith County, Texas on January 17, 1900 and passed away at Wheeler on December 4, 1948 at the age of 48 years, 10 months and 17 days.

Survivors include: the widow, Mrs. E.J. Richardson, 5 children; Earl Wayne of Liberal, Kan., Glenn, Cloise, Maxine and Beulah all of Wheeler; 1 grandchild; 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Mrs. Jewel Worley of Erick, Okla., Mrs. Pearl Johnson of Guthrie, Okla., Mrs. Rachel Chenault of Oklaunion, Texas, Felton Richardson of Erick, Okla. and Albert Richardson of Wheeler; and 1 half sister, Mrs. Flora Brigham of River Banks, California.

Pall bearers were: Charley Davis, Bro. Orley and Mrs. Sanders all of Shamrock, Bus Walker, Willard Ingram and C.C. Hallman of Wheeler.

Flower attendants included: Leola Richardson, Lucille Richardson, Ruby Davis and Vanita Davis all of Wheeler, Altha Mae Smith of Shamrock and Glenda Fay Worley of Erick.

Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery with Kirk-Mason Funeral Home in Charge.
