Graveside services for Robert Emerson Adams, age 77, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 1992 at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Tony Colburn, Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Perryton, officiating. Interment was in Citizens Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Robertson funeral Directors.
Mr. Adams died at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, may [sic] 7, 1992 at his residence in Clarendon from a sudden illness. He was born August 11, 1914 in Wayside, Armstrong County, Texas and came from Wayside to Clarendon in 1981. He married Letha Ann Cunningham on November 3, 1935 at Canyon. He had been a farmer most of his life prior to his retirement. He had been a Ham Radio Operator since 1950. He was a member of of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clarendon.
Survivor [sic] include his wife, Letha Adams of Clarendon; two sons, Jimmy Adams of Clarendon, Leslie Lynn Adams of canyon [sic]; one sister, Bonnie Gillham of Wayside; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be to Donley County Senior Citizens Association in Clarendon.
