Albert Grant Anderson, 81, died Friday, August 17, 1990 at an Elk City, Okla., hospital. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 20 at First Baptist Church of Wheeler. Rev. Ray Smart, pastor of First Baptist Church of Durham, Okla., and Rev. Robert Helsley, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Kelton Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson was born in Greer County, Okla., on April 4, 1909. He moved to Britt Ranch east of Wheeler in 1939 where he was employed and lived until he retired and moved to Wheeler in 1977. In 1986 he moved to Sayre, Okla. He married Lila Anderson in 1926. She died in 1958. He married Bonnie McRae in 1958 in Sayre, Okla.
Survivors include his wife of Sayre; four daughters, Velda Miller of Wheeler, Joyce Lynch of Midland, Glenda Groves of Deming, N.M. and LaTrricia Shriley of Choctaw, Okla.; one brother, Gene Anderson of Miami, Texas; two sisters, Esther Shinn of Albuquerque, N.M. and Bessie Baird of Amarillo, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Roy Bradstreet, David Britt, Ray Giddens, Glen Waldo, Marvin Walker, Hiram Whitener. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Atwood, Joe Flowers and Bill Owen
